The best modified peugeot rc hymotion is a four doors, four seats and four wheel drive coupe, that follows the two RC concepts presented back in 2002 and the 908 RC concept that made its debut two years ago, at the 2006 Paris Motor Show. Though, as expected, the concept will never make it into production, it previews several technologies Peugeot plans on introducing on its production vehicles. The powertrain features a 1.6 litre THP engine ?tted at the rear of the vehicle, combined with a 95 hp (70 kW) electric motor (powered by “lithium-ion” batteries recharged by an energy recovery system which operates during both deceleration and braking). The end result is a maximum power of 313 hp (230 kW), a fuel consumption of 4.5 litres/100 km (52.2 US mpg) and CO2 emissions in the combined cycle of only 109 g/km, or zero in electric only drive mode. However, though we’re talking about a hybrid, the performance figures are pretty impressive: 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds, 80 to 120 km/h (50 – 75 mph) in just 3.0 seconds.

One thing I didn’t like about the Peugeot RC HYmotion4 Concept was the fact that its design kinda looks like the Audi R8, don’t you think? And here are the photos we took in Paris. Enjoy!

Mechanically, it's based on the 308 hatchback, but the svelte coupe has dropped the numeric moniker on the road to production. Engines include 1.6-liter turbo fours with 156 or 200 horsepower and a 2-liter turbodiesel with 163 ponies. Also available with the oil-burning mill is a hybrid drivetrain supplemented by a 37-horsepower electric motor that matches the top gas engine's output while upping the ante with all-wheel-drive and environmental bragging rights. And the weirdly curved glass is all tilted forward before eventually morphing into solar panels on the roof. You steer it with moto-style handle bars. No word if you can opt for a set of ape-hangers, but why on earth not? Engine? Hey - it's a concept, you don't need no stinking engine. Uh.. oh! There are tiny rear-hinged doors with even tinier roll-down windows. So now you know what happens if you allow French automotive weirdness to go unchecked.

The Peugeot 206 is also being produced in Buenos Aires, Argentina since 1999. The models being manufactured are XR, XRD, XS, XT and XTD. The diesel powered versions use the aspirated DW engine.
In May 2006, the Malaysian car manufacturer Naza launched a locally assembled version of the 206 with the name of “206 Bestari”. From Jan 2006, Peugeot 206 is being produced in China. In September 2006 Citroën China showed of slightly modified Peugeot 206 called Citroën C2 (this car has nothing in common with the European Citroën C2).

Although the 206 moniker indicates a direct continuation from the 205, some critics state that the car should have instead been badged 207. This is because Peugeot launched its latest generation of cars in the early to mid 1990s, with the 106 of 1991, the 306 of 1993 and the 406 of 1995.
Its eventual successor – the Peugeot 207 – was launch in 2006 but Peugeot announced its intention to keep the 206 in production until 2010. As of 2007, the nine-year-old 206 is Peugeot’s best-selling car of all time, and its demise in 2010 will spell an end to the ‘06′ generation of Peugeots after almost 20 years.
