The Rat's Hole Custom Bike Show invades the Leesburg Bikefest

Once again, the Leesburg Bikefest welcomes the World Famous Rat's Hole Custom Bike Show to Leesburg.  There will be 22 classes of bikes in the show.  They also host the very popular Miss Ratmate contest as well as a Tattoo Contest.  For more information on entering the contests you can check out http://www.ratshole.com/.

New Dates for the Leesburg Bikefest

Due to Mother's Day falling on the same date that the Leesburg Bikefest is normallly held, the Leesburg Partnership has changed the date for 2011 to be April 8-10, 2011.  The date will resume back to the normal date of the last full weekend in April after this year.  If you have never attended the Leesburg Bikefest, you should check it out as it is, by far, one of the premier events in the Southeast.  The town of Leesburg and the Leesburg Partnership do everything they can to make the event successful.  There are three straight days of music entertainment, bike shows, beauty contests, tattoo expos, and blocks and blocks of vendors.  The Rat's Hole will be back again with many bike shows, and contests.  The headliners for Friday night are Slaughter and Saturday night is Jackyl.  I saved the best part for last.  The entire event is free.  You are not charged one dime to enter the event.  You can check it out at http://www.leesburgbikefest.com/.

This video of a 20-car pileup Thursday afternoon as it happened suggests otherwise. We've seen it before: Even a small amount of ice on a slight hill can make a road impassable by any vehicle, even with the best four-wheel-drive setup. What's impressive here are the sheer numbers of drivers who keep trying despite the crinkled machinery and gawkers on the side of the road, including the massive Ford Super Duty pickup at about six minutes in. Just a small moment before moving into my beloved bed (ohhh how hard it is to get out of it! I could stay in bed the whole day!).

Worked on the base and some conversion of my actual project a bit :)
Buuut enough words, here are some pictures... remind that the base is far from finished, especially the lower part.

Babak baru tinggal diluar Depok

Setelah beberapa lama menimang tawaran tugas luar, akhirnya kami sekeluarga meninggalkan Depok untuk bertugas di luar. Negara tujuan adalah USA, spesifiknya adalah di Houston Texas. Kami mengucap Bismillahirohmanirrohim untuk tugas baru kami bertiga ini (dengan istri dan anak).

Entah kebetulan atau karena lain hal, pada saat kami mendapatkan mobil yg disewakan oleh kantor, Chevrolet Impala lah mobil nya. Wah artinya saya bisa merasakan impala di 2 jaman. Yg pertama keluaran tahun 1964, sekarang dapat impala tahun 2009. Mobil bertenaga 5.8 liter v8 ini memang menjadi ciri khas mobil2 Amerika yg mermesin besar. Bagi saya yg biasa nya pakai Ford Everest dan Honda Jazz di Jakarta pasti ada sedikit perbedaan dengan tenaga mesin mobil ini. Dan yg lebih spesifik lagi....disini kursi kemudinya di sebelah kiri. Wah orientasi dulu nih:)
